Judge Reassigned After Story Of Porn Traffic On His Computer

JOLIET, Ill. (CBS) -- A judge in Will County has been reassigned, after revelations that his computer was used multiple times in an effort to access porn sites.
Associate Judge Joseph Polito, 69, was moved from divorce court at the main county courthouse in Joliet, to a branch courtroom, Will County officials confirmed to CBS 2.
Acting Chief Judge Richard C. Schoenstedt decided to go ahead with the temporary reassignment for Polito after reading the Sun-Times article that detailed the tastes in porn of someone using the judge's computer, The Chicago Sun-Times reports
Schoenstedt told the Sun-Times that issues of gender are often crucial in divorce court cases, and given the information, Polito would be better off working from the branch courts and hearing misdemeanor, building code enforcement and mental health cases.
The new assignment will run through the end of the year, the newspaper reported.
The Sun-Times reported last week that it had obtained documents indicating that someone, although not necessarily Associate Judge Joseph Polito himself, used the judge's login and password to try to access porn sites dozens of times.
Polito will not say if it he or someone else who accessed the sites, but Will County Chief Judge Gerald R. Kinney apologized for any "embarrassment" brought on by the incident and has referred the case to the Illinois Judicial Inquiry Board, the newspaper reported.
Polito's county computer account was used to access 243 porn Web sites, the Sun-Times reported. Among them were chubbyparade.com, hugeheavybreasts.com, bigbras-club.com, portofdebauchery.com and teenagesextape.com, the newspaper reported.
The Sun-Times report says many of the Web sites have URLs that are "cannot be reprinted in a family newspaper," and "suggest an interest in masturbation and large-breasted women" as well as "specialty interests including office sex and older women."
