Juan Pierre Steals 500th Base
Juan Pierre has stolen the 500th base in his major league career. It happened in the first inning of today's White Sox game against the Detroit Tigers. Pierre led off the game with a single, then stole second base and during the same Omar Vizquel at bat was thrown out trying to steal third. Pierre ranks 37th all time in stolen bases and leads all current major league players in career stolen bases by 100.
