The Cornerstone Restaurant Group plans to reinvent the One Sixtyblue space with a "fresh concept" aimed at keeping up with the city's vibrant culinary scene. Restaurant partners remained mum on specifics.

The new restaurant will open in the spring.

Cornerstone also operates the Michael Jordan's Steakhouse that opened last year in the Hotel InterContinental, 505 N. Michigan Ave.

The first Michael Jordan's Restaurant was located at 500 N. LaSalle Blvd., and operated from 1993 to 1999. Jordan did not have an ownership stake in that restaurant, which is now occupied by the LaSalle Power Company restaurant-bar and live music venue.

Meanwhile, Macy's Inc. says as part of a nationwide plan, it will close the Oakbrook Center Bloomingdale's Home store. It is one of four underperforming Bloomingdale's stores to be eliminated; also closing are the stores in Atlanta; North Bethesda, Md.; and in the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minn.

But the company is opening a new Macy's in Gurnee, one of five nationwide.

Macy's says workers at the stores that are closing could be offered jobs at nearby stores. Otherwise, they will receive severance benefits.

The Bloomingdale's in Oak Brook begins its 10-week clearance sale this Sunday.
