Jonathan Toews Remains Out For The Blackhawks
(CBS) Blackhawks center Jonathan Toews will miss his third straight game Tuesday night as he continues to deal with an upper-body injury.
Toews suffered the injury last Wednesday in a loss to the Sharks. Chicago has split a pair of games in his absence.
Toews remains questionable for Thursday's home contest against the Devils. The Blackhawks haven't revealed any more than upper-body injury regarding the nature of his injury. Toews didn't participate in Tuesday's morning skate, according to the Tribune.
"As soon as you see him on the ice you have an idea that he's close to playing," coach Joel Quenneville told the Tribune. "Jonny wants to be out there in the worst way, so we'll do everything we can to get him back."
Toews has four goals and eight assists in 21 games this season.
