Joliet Brothers Sentenced For Raping 18-Year-Old

JOLIET (AP) -- A Will County Circuit Court judge has sentenced two teenaged brothers from Joliet to prison for the rape of an 18-year-old woman last March.

The (Joliet) Herald-News reports Judge Daniel Rozak sentenced 18-year-old Laurice Green to 12 years in prison Thursday, and 17-year-old Lenell Green to eight years. A jury convicted them in September of criminal sexual assault.

Prosecutors say Laurice Green took the girl into a bedroom, punched her and raped her. They say he then held her while Lenell Green and another man raped her.

Prosecutors say the brothers then threw the girl out of the house without her pants or shoes, and ordered 20-year-old Anthony Alexander of Plainfield to drive her home. Alexander is charged with beating and raping the girl later that night in his car.
