Johnson: Unsure When Rose Will Return
(WSCR) The Bulls regular-season success is undeniable.
The team has a four-game lead over the Heat in the Eastern Conference, yet the Bulls will need Derrick Rose - who has missed eight straight games with a groin injury - to return if they want postseason success.
"I don't have a good feel for Derrick because he hasn't taken contact," K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune told The Mully and Hanley Show. "He's just really started increasing his running on the court. But he's also come back from other injuries this season out of the blue. I'm not going to go into the prediction business with Derrick's injury. It's obviously a groin - something they want to be very, very careful with. I actually think coming back for the Oklahoma City game (on Sunday) might be a mistake. That's going to be an intense regular season game. If that's your first game back, I don't know."

This Bulls team has yet to win a championship, but they're closing in on one historic record.
With Wednesday night's win, the Bulls haven't lost back-to-back games since February 5 and 7 of 2011. That streak has now reached 85 games, good for the second-longest in NBA history. The Utah Jazz of the late 90s hold the NBA record at 95 games.
"This is pretty impressive stuff in terms of consistency and resiliency," Johnson said. "The word that Carlos Boozer used last night was character. When this team loses, they're not happy about it and they typically respond to that."
