Johnson: NBA Players Tired Of Being Bullied
(WSCR) The NBA Player's Association's decision to reject the NBA's latest offer and disband as a union could spell the end of any hope for a basketball season in 2011-12.
"At this point in the game (the decision to disband) is destructive and kind of silly because it should've been done a long time ago," K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune told The Mully and Hanley Show. "It's going to be messy and there's a chance there won't be any basketball this season."

With the decision to disband as a union, all debates will now take place in court between attorneys for both sides. Johnson said the drastic decision to disband was a result of the players feeling tired of being pushed around by NBA owners.
"For the most part, even what you would call calm, level-headed players really, really hated this deal," Johnson said. "Some wanted to decertify a long time ago. It is genuine that they did not like this deal. It is genuine that they do not like being bullied and given ultimatums. That's where we're at right now."
