Joan Benoit Samuelson Back For Chicago Marathon With A New Goal
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Thirty years after her Chicago Marathon victory, Joan Benoit Samuelson is training hard for a return engagement.
In 1985, she won Chicago in 2 hours, 21 minutes, 21 seconds.
To mark the 30 years, she's aiming to run within 30 minutes of that time.
She's training hard and that goal is within reach.
She ran 2:54:03 at this year's Boston Marathon.
WBBM's Josh Liss caught up with the trailblazing athlete.
