Jim Harbaugh Offers To Sleep Over On Top Kicking Prospect's Floor In Remarkably Determined Recruiting Effort
(CBS) Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh is going all-in on his quest for the consensus top kicker in the 2016 recruiting class.
Harbaugh plans on showing up at four-star kicker Quinn Nordin's house at 12:01 a.m. Thursday, the earliest allowable under NCAA rules, according to Scout.com. Harbaugh's plan after that is to watch a movie and then -- if he gets his way -- sleep over at the youngster's house, perhaps on his bedroom floor.
Nordin attends Rockford High School in northwestern Michigan and is currently verbally committed to Penn State, but he has an upcoming official visit to Michigan on the docket.
"He said we can watch a movie, see how well we gel and he said he would sleep over after that," Nordin told Scout.com.
"I was in tears laughing when he said that. He said the next day, if my parents didn't want me to miss school, he would go to every class with me and go to lunch with me. I was laughing so hard."
Harbaugh, of course, knows the importance of special teams. His Michigan squad lost in gut-wrenching fashion to rival Michigan State earlier this season when the Wolverines muffed a punt in the waning seconds and the Spartans returned it for a touchdown.
