Jewel To Close Three Stores, Affecting 300 Workers
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Jewel will be closing three stores in the Chicago area, affected some 300 workers.

The grocery chain will not renew leases at the following stores: 1270 N. Lake St., Aurora; 8203 W. Golf Rd. in Niles: and 3940 E. 106th St., Chicago.
The Aurora store will close on Feb. 16.
The two other stores will shut down on April 5.
The workers at those stores will have the opportunity to transfer to other locations.
Jewel's parent company, Supervalu, is selling the chain to Cerberus Capital Management in the spring.
