CHICAGO (CBS) -- Today was the first time the Rainbow Push Coalition met since Jesse Jackson Jr. and his wife Sandi appeared in federal court in Washington. They were not at the meeting, but they were on the minds of those in attendance, reports WBBM's Mike Krauser.

The guilty pleas of Jesse Jackson Jr. and his wife Sandi were hanging heavily over the Rainbow Push meeting.
Ministers came to support the family and Jonathan Jackson thanked people for their prayers and support.
"Sometimes you need some storms in your life to see who your friends are," said Jonathan Jackson.
Rev. Jesse Jackson Sr. said this is a chapter but not the last chapter.
"I am glad that Jesse had the courage to stand face up and not drag out a long expensive process. He faced the judge and faced the people with integrity and contrition and sorrow," said Jackson Sr.
