Jensen: Pay Forte Campaign Is Universal

(WSCR) Football fans don't often agree on much, but during the 2011 season, there has been one  constant.

Matt Forte needs to be paid.

"I've never seen anything like this," Sean Jensen of the Chicago Sun-Times told The McNeil and Spiegel Show. "It's fairly universal. Initially, right at the beginning of the season, when I think some Bears fan weren't even sure what Matt Forte was, they were kind of like, 'Ey, stop complaining. He's not an elite back.' ... But after just a couple games when it was very apparent that he was the Bears offense, particularly early on, it's really become one-sided the number of people who are in the 'Pay Forte' campaign."

Forte continues to lead the Bears in almost every offensive category, while making an NFL-modest $550,000 this season.

"The average fan has a hard time understanding how any of these players can complain about  how much they make and how they're under-payed, but in the NFL world, I don't think you could argue that there's anybody that's been more vastly under paid than Forte," Jensen said.
