Jay Cutler Doesn't Feel Bears Teammates Have Lost Faith In His Abilities

LAKE FOREST, Ill. (CBS) -- Bears quarterback Jay Cutler shook off a report that teammates have lost faith and have questioned his preparation.
Speaking Thursday in his weekly press conference at Halas Hall, Cutler was asked to address the Monday report from Bleacher Report's Mike Freeman that most of the locker room has given up on Cutler and that Cutler's lack preparation was "truly embarrassing."
"I've never felt like that in the locker room, with those guys," Cutler said.
Cutler had one of his worst games in a Bears uniform in Sunday's 36-10 loss to the Buccaneers. He threw two interceptions and fumbled the ball away twice more. Cutler's worst moment came with a pick-six to former Bears teammate Chris Conte. He also was strip-sacked in the end zone, a play that resulted in a safety.
"We win and lose together," Bears offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains said of Cutler. "He was the same guy we were praising after Minnesota."
Bears teammates have come out and defended Cutler during the week. Cutler pointed out that an unnamed source isn't something he was going to get worked up about.
"If people start putting their names on it, then we can start talking about it," Cutler said.
Added Loggains: "This is a week-to-week league. You come out and you play well and you go out and we execute as a team, all 11 guys, and I think that we can go out and put together a good plan and play well."
Loggains didn't see any change in Cutler's preparation before the loss at Tampa Bay. Loggains was also willing to share the blame.
"I didn't see that in his preparation," Loggains said. "But obviously, the way we played, I don't think any of us were prepared. We need to do a better job coaching. We need to do a better job of executing plays."
