Jay Cutler, Alshon Jeffery Sidelined From Bears Practice

LAKE FOREST, Ill. (CBS) -- When the Bears returned to the practice field Wednesday, they were without their starting quarterback, as Jay Cutler remained sidelined with a hamstring injury. Despite recent reports indicating Cutler will miss at least two weeks, coach John Fox didn't rule him out for Sunday's game in Seattle, despite reports
"He's taking it day to day," Fox said. "We'll see what tomorrow brings. We don't rule anyone out for games until Friday."
Cutler suffered the hamstring injury on an interception returned for a touchdown during the Bears' 48-23 loss to the Cardinals on Sunday. He left the game and didn't return. Jimmy Clausen stepped in for Cutler and finished the game 14-of-23 for 121 yards and an interception.
On Tuesday, the Bears added an insurance policy by elevating quarterback David Fales from the practice squad to the active roster.
Receivers Alshon Jeffery and Eddie Royal also didn't practice Wednesday, while Matt Forte (knee), Ego Ferguson (knee), Pernell McPhee (knee), Marquess Wilson (shoulder), Matt Slauson (toe) and Tracy Porter (hamstring) were limited.
