CHICAGO (CBS) -- Disgraced former U.S. Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. was remembered at the weekly meeting of his father's Rainbow-PUSH Coalition.

The Rev. Jesse Jackson and his wife Jacqueline were in Washington, D.C., at Jesse Jr.'s side. But others remembered him.
"You may have to bleed but stay in the fight," said the Rev. Shawn McMillian when delivering the main oration. "They may persecute you. They may prosecute you, too. But stay in the fight."
Pastor Gordon Humphrey offered a prayer for the former congressman.
"Father, we bring the Jackson family before you this morning. We bring Jesse Jackson, Jr., to you. Wherever he is, we bring his spirit to you," Pastor Humphrey prayed. "Touch him right now and encourage his heart and give him to know that this is a bump in the road. Give him to know he is not by himself. And just like you walk with his father, and walked with Dr. King, you will walk with him today."
Santita and Jonathan Jackson held hands with others on stage and stood behind Pastor Humphrey as he spoke.
Outside, they said they also would be flying to their brother's side.
"He smiles when he hears my voice," Jonathan Jackson said.
"We will stand with him till the end of time," Santita Jackson said.
Jonathan Jackson said his older bother remains under medical treatment and "cannot speak for himself at this time."
