Live next to an airport and you get jet noise. Live next to a steel mill and you just might get lawn glitter.
People have been calling the Indiana Department of Environmental Management to complain about a black and silver glittery substance called kish graphite for years, but this time spokesman Dan Goldblatt says it may be something else.
"Originally I thought it could be a type of graphite kish but our experts in the field do not believe that is the case. Right now, we don't know what it is or where it is coming from," said Goldblatt.
Kish graphite isn't toxic, but they're not sure that this other substance is safe so inspectors are checking it out. They should have an answer later today.
