Investigators On Scene Of West Pullman Shooting
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A young man was shot and critically wounded on the Far South Side late Saturday morning in the West Pullman neighborhood.
At 11:13 a.m., someone shot the 19-year-old man in the abdomen in the 600 block of West 119th Street, according to police News Affairs Officer Robert Perez. Police responded initially to a call of shots fired and a person shot.
Paramedics took the victim in critical condition to Mount Sinai Hospital, according to Fire Media Affairs spokesman Quention Curtis. Curtis said they responded to 609 W. 119th St.
Perez said a motive was not clear and the attacker was not in custody early Saturday afternoon.
Calumet Area detectives are investigating.
