Introducing ... Cook County's First Baby Of 2016
(CBS) --A young Chicago woman gave birth to the first Cook County baby early Friday.
CBS 2's Mike Parker reports.
Say hello to Jaylanie Rodriguez. She was born one minute into 2016, at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge.
Aliyah Rodrigues, the baby's mom, has her work cut out for her. She's unmarried, 15 and a sophomore in high school. But she has ambition and would like to finish high school and become a police officer.
The new baby's grandfather is all of 38.
"Maybe it'll all work out. Maybe her daughter will be president of the United States," Wilfredo Rodriguez says.
Jaylanie will become eligible to become president in 2051.
