Interfaith Service In Daley Plaza Prays For Peace In Chicago, Ferguson
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Religious leaders from several faiths gathered to pray for peace at Daley Plaza Monday afternoon, reports WBBM's Craig Dellimore.
Leaders of Chicago's Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, Baha'i and Christian communities held a noontime interfaith prayer service. Rabbi Michael Balinsky, president of the Council of Religious Leaders of Metropolitan Chicago, said the prayed for peace around the world, the nation and the city.

"The city that still witnesses the murder of children and innocents, the time is now to decry the violence and to pray for peace," Rabbi Balinsky said.
Reverend B. Herbert Martin, pastor of the International Council of Community Churches was thinking of the St. Louis suburb that has seen much violence.
"We ask your grace especially oh God and your mercy upon our brothers and sisters in Ferguson, Missouri as they work through their time of suffering and pain."
