CBS 2 Inside Track: A Look At The 2016 Chicago Auto Show

CHICAGO (CBS) -- With about 1,000 cars and more than one million square feet of exhibit space, the Chicago Auto Show opened over the weekend at McCormick Place.

From super cars to sedans to SUVs, CBS 2's Ed Curran and Marissa Bailey take a closer look:

The show runs from Feb. 13-21 and is open from 9 a.m. until 10 p.m. each day, with the exception of the last day, where the show will close at 8 p.m.

This year marks the 108th edition of the Chicago Auto Show. First staged in 1901, the Chicago Auto Show is the largest auto show in North America and has been held more times than any other auto exposition on the continent.

Admission prices are as follows:

$12 for adults
$7 for seniors ages 62 and older
$7 for children ages 7-12

Free admission for children 6 and younger when they accompany a paying adult (family members only) Weekday discount coupons ($5 off the regular adult admission) available at various area new-car dealerships.
