Injury Update: Bennett, Melton Return To Field But Don't Practice
By Adam Hoge-
HALAS HALL (CBS) -- While Bears head coach Marc Trestman said Monday that Earl Bennett and Henry Melton were recovering from their concussions, there was no visible of evidence of that until Tuesday when both players watched practice from the sideline at Halas Hall.
It was the first time either had been seen at a practice since they suffered their respective injuries -- Aug. 3 for Bennett and Aug. 9 for Melton. Both were reportedly at Halas Hall Monday as well, but neither was on the practice field during the limited portion open to the media.
Otherwise, there were no notable changes from Monday. The following players were not participating in practice while it was open to reporters: Jonathan Scott (knee), D.J. Williams (calf), Corvey Irvin (ankle), Cheta Ozougwu (hamstring), Patrick Mannelly (ribs), Harvey Unga (ribs) and Matt Blanchard (left hand).
