Injury News On Hawks

While the Hawks earned a quality win Friday night against the Red Wings, they'll have to wait a little longer for their stars to return. Joel Quenneville told reporters this afternoon that Patrick Kane, Marian Hossa and Viktor Stalberg will all sit out of Sunday night's game against the Kings.
"[Hossa and Kane] are both out for tomorrow as is Viktor," Quenneville said. "[Kane] today, you know, he didn't finish practice. We'll see how he presents in the morning but it's all part of the process. Hossa had a good skate under him. Hopefully he can play before Christmas. We'll see from there."
Hossa had told reporters that he was going to see how he felt while skating on Sunday before he decided on whether he could play but Quenneville clearly doesn't want to risk bringing Hossa back too soon.
Stalberg--who missed the last game with an upper body injury--is still dealing with the effects. "Viktor's probably about the same pace where he was the last couple of days, which is OK," Quenneville said. "Tomorrow [he] could possibly skate but we'll see Monday or Tuesday."
With three of the next four games coming against division opponents, the Hawks could certainly use all the firepower they can muster but it seems like they may have to wait until Christmas to get their gifts.
