Injured Carimi Placed On IR
(CBS) Gabe Carimi's season is over.
The Bears' right tackle and first-round pick was placed on injured reserve Friday, a week after undergoing knee surgery. Carimi originally dislocated knee Week 2 at New Orleans and hasn't played since.
Carimi is the second offensive lineman placed on injured reserve this week. Left guard Chris Williams, also a former first-round pick, was placed on IR after injuring his wrist Sunday against the Lions.
To replace the injured duo, the Bears signed guard Ricky Henry, an undrafted rookie free agent from Nebraska, Thursday and elevated tackle Levi Horn from the practice squad Friday.
