Indiana Police Release Sketch Of Suspect In Road Rage Shooting
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Indiana State Police released a sketch on Monday of a man they believe fired gunshots at another vehicle on Interstate 80 in Northwest Indiana last week.
A Merrillville couple was driving westbound on I-80 on Thursday night when police say they because victims of road rage.
At approximately 9:21 pm, the couple was driving in the left lane, around the 15 mile marker (Lake Station exit), when a vehicle came up behind them and began flashing his headlights at them, according to police.
The vehicle, described as a silver or gray Dodge Charger with dark tinted windows, moved to the middle lane and pulled alongside the victims' car.
The driver of the Charger, later described as a male black wearing glasses, pointed a gun and began to shoot at the victims' car, striking it numerous times.
The Charger continued westbound without stopping.
One of the adults suffered injury from glass fragments and declined medical attention. A child and other adult were not injured.
