Immigrants' Rights Group Canvasses Albany Park Offering Advice For Undocumented Residents
(CBS) -- Members of an immigrants' rights group went door-to-door Saturday in the Northwest Side Albany Park neighborhood.
Albany Park hosts a large number of undocumented residents from Central America, and Irena Romulo of the group "Organized Communities Against Deportation" said, while Chicago remains a sanctuary city, federal Immigration and Custom Enforcement Agents have stepped up raids in the area.

Her advice is to do whatever talking that is necessary through closed doors, and said those approached by Immigration agents should demand that agents produce a search warrant and slip it under the closed door.
She said those not named on the warrant need not answer any questions posted by the agents or produce identification.
Romulo said that, in addition to offering people a place to report raids, the group offers undocumented residents legal help on immigration questions.
