Illinois' Liuget Among Record 25 Prospects To Be At NFL Draft
CHICAGO (CBS) For most of the players who will hear their names called during the 75th NFL Draft, there will be a lot of waiting and wonder. For 25 of these players their waiting and wondering will be seen by the world.
The NFL announced on Monday that a record 25 players have accepted an invitation to attend the draft at Radio City Music Hall in New York.
Among the 25 are high-profile players like Cam Newton, Von Miller and Blaine Gabbert, as well as former Illinois standout Corey Liuget.
There are pretty good odds that several of these players could slip to the second round, which with the recently changed draft format is now the second day. Those players' waiting and wondering in the public spotlight could last a while.
