CHICAGO (CBS) -- Illinois and Indiana law enforcement officers plan to team-up to go after gun-runners.

It's in response to a report by the University of Chicago Crime Lab ,which showed that 20 percent of all guns recovered by Chicago police in the last four years were purchased in Indiana.
Cook County Sheriff Tom Dart will host a so-called guns summit to discuss safety initiatives, violence and the flow of firearms from Indiana into Illinois.
Other participants include Chicago Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy and Mayor Rahm Emanuel. The gun summit will be held in Indiana and Gary Police Chief Wade Ingram and Lake County Sheriff John Buncich are also expected to attend.
