Illini's Richardson Named Co-Big Ten Player Of The Week
(CBS) A great week for the Illini got even better for D.J. Richardson.
Richardson was named the co-Big Ten player of the week after helping Illinois take down two ranked teams.
The Illini defeated No. 1 Indiana on Thursday night behind 23 points from Richardson. The senior guard also scored 13 points as the Illini beat No. 18 Minnesota on Sunday.
He shares the honor with Wisconsin's Ben Brust, who hit a half-court shot to force overtime against Michigan. The Badgers then beat the Wolverines on a game-winning 3-pointer from the junior guard.
