Illini Lose Undefeated Bid, Drop In AP Poll
(CBS) When Illinois picked up its first loss of the season at the hands of Ohio State on Saturday, a shot at an undefeated season wasn't the only thing lost.
The Illini also saw their national ranking drop seven spots to No. 23 in Sunday's Associated Press poll.
Illinois was shutout for most of its loss Saturday, scoring it's first and only touchdown late in the fourth quarter against a weak Ohio State team.
The next three games for Illinois will prove to be vital in the school's run at a Big Ten championship. The Illini will face Penn State, Michigan and currently undefeated Wisconsin, before taking on Purdue and Minnesota to close out the season.
