Idonije: 'Guys Had To Be Relentless'
The Eagles' offense is one of the most explosive in the NFL. Coming into Sunday's game everyone knew this, especially the Bears' defense. It was simple what the Bears' defensive players needed to do, and Israel Idonije summed that up today.
"Guys had to be relentless," Idonije said. "It was a challenge and we knew that going into the game and guys were excited. Before the game, the [defensive line], the linebackers, everybody was excited for the challenge that we had that day, and we knew it was going to be tough."
The Bears should be expecting tough exciting games for the remainder of the year, with games against the Jets, Patriots and all three divisional road games. The things that helped them beat the Eagles will also help them win those games.
"[We knew] endurance was going to be big. Being relentless was going to be key so guys got up and rose to the occasion. It was an exciting day."
