Ice Skating At Millennium Park Opens Friday, Maggie Daley Ribbon Opening Soon
CHICAGO (CBS) -- In yet another sign that winter is upon us, downtown ice skating opens up again this weekend.
Skaters at Millennium Park (Michigan Avenue and Washington Street) can hit the ice rink starting on Friday.
The ice ribbon at Maggie Daley Park (just east of Millennium Park at Randolph and Columbus) is in the process of making ice and plans to open "soon" according to their Twitter account.
Weather permitting, the ribbon could open sometime next week.
Admission is free for those who own their own skates.
Rental skates at both locations are $12. Lockers are also available for rent.
Millennium Park also has free lessons at on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, one hour before the rink opens.
