Bullet Flies Through Man's Windshield On I-94 In Deerfield
DEERFIELD, Ill. (CBS) -- There was a scare for a driver on the Tri-State Tollway in Deerfield late Sunday morning when a bullet came flying through his windshield.
It happened just before noon on the Tri-State (I-94) near Half Day Road.
Illinois State Police said the man was driving south on the Tri-State when someone started firing at his car. The vehicle from which the shots were fired did not stop.
The man was not hurt.
Traffic was shut down for several hours while troopers looked for clues and bullet shell casings.
No one was in custody Sunday night.
