I-57 Reopened After Rollover Accident
CALUMET PARK, Ill. (STMW) - The northbound and southbound lanes of I-57 in the south suburbs have been reopened Sunday morning after a rollover accident in Calumet Park caused a man to be airlifted to the hospital.
About 4:45 a.m., a rollover accident involving a SUV shut down the northbound and southbound lanes of I-57 at the 127th St. exit in Calumet Park, an Illinois State Police District Chicago trooper said.
The male driver of the small Hyundai SUV was in "stable" condition when he was airlifted by helicopter to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, the trooper said.
The SUV was the only vehicle involved in the accident.
The northbound and southbound lanes were reopened at 6:47 a.m.
