Valois offered the same deal in 2008 when Obama became the first African-American president in U.S. history.
Some folks who were there in 2008 made a point to return in 2012.
"I came here four years ago, it's delicious," said Michelle Sharp. Pointing to her friend, Tyisha Smith, she added: "She called my at 5:30 and said, 'We're doing breakfast at Valois.' "
"It's definitely about being proud of him," said Smith. "Who cares about the free meal. Thanks Obama, keep doing your job, baby!"
