Hundreds More Flights Canceled At Chicago Airports
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Travel headaches continued Monday morning at Chicago's airports, thanks to the frigid conditions.
A day after canceling more than 1,300 flights at O'Hare International Airport, airlines have canceled another 1,600 flights on Monday, as of 11 a.m., according to the city's Aviation Department.
Airlines also were reporting delays on some remaining flights, averaging about 40 minutes.
At Midway International Airport, about 200 flights were canceled on Sunday, and airlines have canceled more than 85 more flights, according to the city.
Remaining flights were being delayed 20 minutes or more.
Anyone using either airport is advised to check with their airline for their flight status before going to the airport.
