Hundreds Dress Up As Zombies For Annual Pub Crawl
CHICAGO (WBBM) - It's not Halloween or the apocalypse, but hundreds of people are dressing up as zombies in Chicago's Andersonville neighborhood Saturday afternoon.
The 5th Annual Zombie Pub Crawl promises to the be largest one here yet with organizers hoping for over 800 undead participants.
The event, which is modeled after a larger one in Minneapolis, has already sold 600 tickets.
In addition to being a chance to show off your finest makeup and staggering skills, it's a fundraiser for the Comedy Theatre.
The 10-year-old theater is moving its sketch comedy and improv productions into a new space in Andersonville.
For those who feel they can't create the proper lifeless look - there will be makeup people on hand to help.
Ensemble member Steve Hund says with the popularity of shows like The Walking Dead, more people are interested acting like zombies.
The crawl goes from 2pm to 8pm Saturday.
