Humber Named American League Player Of The Week
(CBS) Two days after throwing the 21st perfect game in Major League Baseball history, White Sox pitcher Philip Humber was named American League Player of the Week Monday.
The game was Humber's first complete game and shutout of his career. He needed just 98 pitches to go through the 27 Mariners' batters and he didn't allow a three-ball count until the ninth inning.
The perfect game was the third in White Sox history, tying the franchise with the Yankees for the most all-time.
