How Much And Where To Watch Cubs World Series Games In Wrigleyville
CHICAGO (CBS) – Just when you thought parking and game tickets were expensive, what about just watching the game on a TV in Wrigleyville?
Bars near Wrigley Field are cashing in on the Cubs success and charging as much as $300 a person to watch the Cubs World Series games on TV from inside the bars.
Included in the steep cover changes are meal packages that guarantee food and drink, but not always a seat, unless you add another couple hundred. Thinking that it is a bit insane? Some packages hae already sold out.
Below are some of the popular bars on Clark offering weekend packages, that can be purchased in advance on hastickets.com:
Moe's Cantina, 3518 N. Clark
- Game 3: $200 includes general admission for one, 1 entrée, 1 appetizer and drinks from 7 p.m. to the 9th inning. Guest with tickets are welcome to come as early as noon

A guaranteed 4-top table reservation will cost around $500 at these bars, and at some, have already sold out.
The Stretch Bar & Grill offers the most expensive meal package of them all. Their package includes a premium bar from 6 p.m. until the end of the game.

-Game 3: $250 includes general admission for one, 1 entree or 1 appetizer of your choice, a PREMIUM bar from 6 p.m. until the end of the game.
- Game 4: $300 includes general admission for one, 1 entree or 1 appetizer of your choice, a PREMIUM bar from 6 p.m. until the end of the game.
- Game 5: $300 includes general admission for one, 1 entree or 1 appetizer of your choice, a PREMIUM bar from 6 p.m. until the end of the game.
For Game 4, HVAC Pub is throwing a watch party, but if you insist on having a seat it will cost you a whole lot more – as in, $1,000 more. The table seats six, but you can reserve it for one, as all people must purchase the $250 standard food and drink package.
HVAC Pub, 3530 N. Clark
- Game 4 Watch Party: $250 includes guaranteed entry and four-hour food and beverage – beer, wine, well cocktails, all you can eat pizza and wings. *Package does not include shots, on the rocks, or Redbull.
The pub is also offered a reserved table option for $1000, which guarantees seating and includes one bottle of Grey Goose and one bottle of champagne. *You must purchase a ticket for the event, on top of the $1,000 reserved seating.
Other Wrigleyville bars are offering covers and packages that are a bit more affordable. But it is recommended that fans arrive early, as lines have been two-hour or longer waits for the past series.
Cubby Bear, 1059 W. Addison
- Game 3, 4, and 5: $100 includes entry only. No table reservations or party packages.
Merkle's Bar and Grill
- Game 3, 4, and 5: $100 includes entry only
Myron Mixon's Smoke Show, 3801 N. Clark
- Game 3, 4, and 5: $50 All-You-Can Eat BBQ Feast includes ribs, pulled pork, brisket, Myron's world-famous cupcake chicken, smoked sausage, pig wings, baby back mac, hush puppies, potato salad and baked beans from 5 p.m. until one hour after the games end. The restaurant offers 24, 60-inch 4K televisions. They are also taking table reservations if you call in advance.
Rockit Burger Bar, 3700 N. Clark
-Game 3, 4, and 5: $40 includes entry only for standing room. They also offer $100 table reservations.
Yak-Zies, 3710 N. Clark
-Game 3, 4, and 5: $25 includes entry only. There will be an hourly surcharge of $50 per table.
Some bars were still debating earlier in the week whether to charge a cover or not, while others have promised not to. Johnny O'Hagan's, Big G's, Trace, and Vines on Clark are among those who will not charge a cover.
Murphy's Bleachers, 3655 N. Sheffield
- Game 3: They will not be taking reservation and are not charging a cover. *Note, a line started around 3 p.m. for the NLCS games.
- Game 4, 5: $100 includes entry only
Security around the field will be high. Police and the city are expecting hundreds of thousands of people to be in Wrigleyville. If you cannot afford these bar packages and want to avoid the crowds, it is best to stay home and watch the game with friends.
"If you don't have a ticket to the event, we encourage you to gather with friends, order some food and celebrate at home in your neighborhood. Traffic will be very heavy around Wrigleyville," Chicago Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson said.
