Hospice Patient To Go Behind The Scenes At Brookfield Zoo
ROSELLE, Ill. (CBS) A hospice patient with a passion for exotic animals is about to have a dream fulfilled.
As WBBM Newsradio 780's Michele Fiore reports, Whit Robbinet, 73, of Roselle, has been on African safaris is a real animal lover. On Tuesday, with the help of a not-for-profit organization called "Passages Hospice Dreams," Robbinet will be taking a behind-the-scenes tour of Brookfield Zoo.

Passages spokeswoman Kaitlyn Henderson says Robbinet will be going behind the glass and feeding a rhinoceros. Henderson says they're thrilled to be able to provide this opportunity to Robbinet, who is in his final stages of life.
Henderson says the organization is a wish-granter, open to anyone who is in the hospice program.
Some other wishes they have granted include trips to baseball and football games, airline tickets to bring family members together, and for one rock and roll fan, a Skype conversation with Aerosmith's Steven Tyler.
