Starting at 10 p.m. on Thanksgiving and continuing through 10 p.m. on Black Friday, the event will include celebrity DJs so you can dance while you shop, as well as plenty of time to peruse your options. Fashion Outlets of Chicago, located just outside Chicago in the suburb of Rosemont, has more than 130 retailers, including Aldo, Burberry, Calvin Klein, Coach, Gap and more. The shopping center opens its doors on Thanksgiving Day from 6 p.m. to midnight, and then opens again on Black Friday from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. so you can shop for even more items for the holidays. The mall includes a wide assortment of retailers, with Bed Bath & Beyond, Carson's, Disney Store, Kohl's and Lids on the list. The mall has a total of more than 130 shops and restaurants, and includes a list of deals available through its retailers on its website.

If you'd like to stay away from the large shopping malls this holiday season while picking up something unique, then consider making your way to the shopping district in the historic Long Grove. The northwest suburb features an array of independent stores where shoppers can find vintage clothing, antiques, chocolates, specialty foods, candles, art and other items for everyone their list. Some retailers in Long Grove will be open on Thanksgiving Day, some starting their days as early as 8 a.m., while other retailers will be open on Black Friday.
