Hoge: Fitzgerald Will Not Pursue Michigan Job

Michigan contacted NU head coach Pat Fitzgerald about its head coaching vacancy, but Fitzgerald will not pursue the opening and will stay with the Wildcats, a Northwestern spokesperson confirmed to 670 The Score Thursday evening.
Reports surfaced Thursday that Michigan had interest in Fitzgerald after the Wolverines fired Rich Rodriguez Wednesday.
Fitzgerald is 34-29 in five seasons as Northwestern's head coach. He led the Wildcats to its their third straight bowl game this season, a first for the program.
