Highs in the 60s on Tuesday in Chicago
CHICAGO (CBS) — One more unseasonably warm day is ahead before a colder pattern shift.
Tuesday's highs will be in the 60s, 15 degrees above the norm.
A strong cold front swings through Tuesday night, pulling in some of the coldest air of the season.
Highs on Wednesday will be in the middle 40s.
Colder conditions starting Thursday. Chicago has yet to experience a temperature lower than 32 degrees this season. Lows for the rest of the week will be closer to freezing and the colder air will last into the weekend.
Thursday may bring the first snow of the season. Rain and snow showers develop late from Wednesday night into Thursday morning. Initially a wet snow in the morning, then changing to a rain/snow mix during the day.
Some minor snow accumulation is expected on grassy/cold surfaces, but roads should only stay wet.
