Hickory Hills Bicyclist Killed In Bridgeview Wreck
BRIDGEVIEW, Ill. (STMW) -- A 31-year-old man died early Thursday after being struck by a car while riding a bicycle in southwest suburban Bridgeview.
The vehicle struck Roger T. Havlik at 2:21 a.m. in the 7300 block of West 95th Street, according to a release from Bridgeview police.
Havlik, of 9547 78th Crt. in Hickory Hills, was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead at 2:59 a.m., according to Cook County Medical Examiner's office.
An autopsy Thursday determined Havlik died of multiple injuries from the crash, which was ruled an accident by the medical examiner's office.
The driver, who stayed at the scene, was not cited, according to the release.
The South Suburban Major Accident Reconstruction Team assisted in the investigation.
