Heyman: AL Central Is The Tigers' To Lose
(WSCR) The Tigers weren't content with just winning the AL Central in 2011. No, they needed more.
That's why they signed Prince Fielder to a nine-year deal worth $214 million.
With the acquisition of Fielder, the Tigers' grip on the AL Central appears to have gotten even stronger.
"On paper, the way things are stacking up, it could look like (the Tigers' division for the next few years,) but of course you never know," Jon Heyman of CBS Sports told The Mully and Hanley Show. "You can't see Adam Dunn doing what he did last year. ... It's an unpredictable sports. I thought the White Sox would win last year, and Detroit emerged as the best team. Now, they've improved their team. So, the logical thing is to think that Detroit is going to be dominant. As we sit here today, that's what I think."
