Hester Sets NFL Record For Return TDs
Devin Hester set the NFL record for all-time return touchdowns with his 14th.
Hester nearly set the record with the opening kickoff of the second half when he returned the ball all the way to the Minnesota Vikings' five-yard line.
After being forced to punt in the first possession of the second half, the Vikings made the mistake of kicking to the ridiculous Devin Hester.
Hester returned the third quarter punt 64 yards, giving the Chicago Bears a 27-7 lead over the Minnesota Vikings.
Hester fielded a line drive punt from Chris Kluwe and ran right up the sideline virtually untouched for the score.
Brian Mitchell held the previous record with 13, which Hester tied with an 89-yard punt return against Seattle in Week 6. Hester has returned 10 punts and four kickoffs for TDs in just 74 career games. His 108-yard return of a missed field goal in the 2007 Super Bowl does not count in that total.
Mitchell played in 223 career games.
