Hester Named NFC Special Teams Player of the Week
(CBS) Devin Hester was named NFC Special Teams Player of the Week Wednesday after scoring his NFL record 11th career punt return for a touchdown Sunday against the Panthers.
Hester racked up a total of 142 return yards in the game as well.
The touchdown put Hester ahead of Eric Metcalf who previously held the career record of 10 punt return touchdowns.
This is the 10th time in Hester's career that he has been named Special Teams Player of the Week, which is the most ever for a return specialist.
