Health, Key To Hossa's Hot Start
By Nick Shepkowski--
Blackhawks right wing Marian Hossa is off to a Hart Trophy type start this season, leading the NHL with 7 goals and 11 points just 8 games in. "Hos" is aware how important every game over the course of a season ends up being and told the Danny Mac Show why its so important for the Hawks to remain on their current hot streak.
"It is important to start really good, especially in the beginning of the season because these points are really as important as game 82 so this is fun so far and we need to keep doing what we're doing".
The Hawks winger also talked about how hard it was for him to finally win a Stanley Cup and how losing in the finals twice made winning it that much sweeter.

"I think it was a little bit different for me than the younger guys" said Hossa of finally hoisting Lord Stanley. "They think that they're going to win it every year because they're so young and have spent only one or two years in the league but I went through the rougher road and I think I enjoyed the cup even more."
Hossa's fast start this season can be credited to him being healthy to start the season as well as to goaltender Marty Turco who has helped in getting Hossa more breakaways early on this season.
"Right now he's like the third defenseman for us, he can make better passes than some of our defensemen" said Hossa of Turco's puckhandling ability.
The three-time Olympian also wasn't slow to hand out compliments for Blackhawks center and captain Jonathan Toews.
"He's already at his age no question one of the best players in the league...lots of young guys at his age are not as mature as he is and that's what makes it so much fun to play with him."
Hossa and the Blackhawks return to action on Friday night in St. Louis where they will battle the 2-1-2 Blues for the second time in five days.
