Blackhawks Acquire Tampa Bay Defenseman Kirill Gotovets
(CBS) -- The Chicago Blackhawks have traded for the rights of defenseman Kirill Gotovets from the Tampa Bay Lightning, according to a team release. The Hawks will send forward Philippe Paradis to the Lightning.
Gotovets has 2 goals and 13 assists and played 80 games in three seasons with Cornell University. The 21-year-old was a seventh round draft pick by Tampa Bay in 2009.
Paradis, 22, has one goal and seven assists in 36 games for the Rockford IceHogs of the AHL.
