Hawks Acquire Goalie Karlsson From Calgary Flames For Draft Pick
(CBS) – The Chicago Blackhawks have acquired goaltender Henrik Karlsson from the Calgary Flames.
In exchange, Chicago gives up a seventh-round draft pick in the 2013 NHL League Entry Draft, the Blackhawks said in a news release Monday.
Karlsson has been assigned to the American Hockey League's Rockford IceHogs. The 29-year-old has appeared in 26 regular-season games with the Calgary Flames over parts of two seasons.
He is a native of Sweden.
The Blackhawks acquired the seventh-round draft pick used in this transaction from the Ottawa Senators in exchange for Rob Klinkhammer on Dec. 2, 2011.
