Halloween Trick-Or-Treating Times For Lake County, Ill. 2013

Halloween Trick or Treating is being held in communities throughout Lake County, Ill. in 2013. Most of the communities are holding Trick or Treat hours on the day of Halloween itself. Oct. 31, 2013, but several are having the Trick or Treat on the Sun. before Halloween, on Oct. 27. In addition, a number of business communities and malls are also inviting children to Trick or Treat at specified hours and some of these are listed below. Following are the Trick-Or-Treat hours in Lake County for 2013.

Trick Or Treating Times

• Antioch: Annual "Treat the Streets" event is Trick or Treating at downtown businesses on Sat., Oct. 26 (noon-3 p.m ) in downtown Antioch.
• Antioch: Village of Antioch residential Trick or Treating is on Wed., Oct. 31 (4-7 p.m.).

• Bannockburn: Residential Trick or Treat is on Thurs., Oct 31 (3:30-7 p.m.).

• Barrington: Residential Trick or Treat is on Thurs., Oct 31(3-7 p.m.).

• Beach Park:  Residential Trick or Treat is on Sun., Oct. 27 (2-5 p.m.).

• Buffalo Grove: Buffalo Grove Park District Trick or Treat Trail at Alcott Center on Fri., Oct. 25 (6:30-8 p.m.).
• Buffalo Grove: Great Pumpkin Hunt at Raupp Museum on Sat., Oct. 26 (11 a.m.-1 p.m.). Registration required $10 Res. $13 NR.
• Buffalo Grove: Canine Costume Contest at Raupp Museum on Sat., Oct. 26 (10-11 a.m.). Free.
• Buffalo Grove: Residential Trick or Treat is on Thurs., Oct 31 (2-7 p.m.).

• Deer Park: Deer Park Town Centers Fall Fest and trick or treating at stores with pumpkin decals on Sat., Oct. 26 (1-4 p.m.).
• Deer Park: Thurs., Oct 31 (4-7 p.m.).

• Deerfield: "Downtown Deerfield Trick or Treat" is on Sat., Oct. 26 (noon – 4 p.m.)  Downtown merchants in Deerfield with orange pumpkin signs in their windows welcome children to trick or treat their stores, according to the Chamber of Commerce.
• Deerfield: Halloween Hoopla is at Jewett Park on Fri.-Sat., Oct. 25-26.
• Village of Deerfield: Residential Trick or Treating is Oct. 31 (3:30-7 p.m.).

• Fox Lake: The Parks and Recreation Department is sponsoring a free Halloween Movie, Hotel Transylvania,  at the Fox Lake Theater on Sat., Oct. 6 (10 a.m.).
• Fox Lake: Thurs., Oct 31 (4-7 p.m.).

• Fox River Grove: Thurs., Oct 31 (3:30-7:30 p.m.).

• Grayslake: Grayslake Business Trick or Treat downtown Grayslake on Sat., Oct. 26 (11 a.m.-1 p.m.).
• Grayslake: Residential Trick or Treat is on Thurs., Oct 31 (4-7 p.m.).

• Great Lakes: Residential Trick or Treat is on Thurs., Oct 31 (3:30-7 p.m.).

• Gurnee: Residential Trick or Treating is on Sun., Oct. 27 (2-5 p.m.).
• Gurnee: Gurnee Park District Trick or Treat Path at Viking Park on Fri., Oct. 25 (6-8 p.m.). Admission $8 Resident/$10 Non-Resident per child.
• Gurnee: Gurnee Mills Mall hosts Boo Bash & Mall-O-Ween Event on Thurs. Oct. 31 (3-6 p.m.)  Enjoy the Boo Bash from 3-6 p.m., and from 4-6 p.m. stop by the information desk for a free Halloween bag and visit the stores with the welcome pumpkins for goodies.
• Gurnee: Final weekend of Fright Fest at Six Flags is Oct. 26-27. Zombies and monsters at final weekend of Six Flags Fright Fest in Gurnee

• Highland Park: Centennial Park Scary Skate is on Sat., Oct. 26 (4-5:15 p.m.). Wear a Halloween costume and skate for free.

• Vernon Hills: Westfield Mall Family Spooktacular is on Sat., Oct. 26 (11 a.m.-2 p.m.). Activities include Costume contests for kids (11-12 a.m.) and scavenger hunt (12-2 p.m.).
• Vernon Hills: Westfield Hawthorn will host Mall-wide Trick-or-Treat for children ages 6 & under on Thurs., Oct 31 (11 a.m.-1 p.m.).

• Zion: Zion Park District Fall Fest is on Fri., Oct. 25 (5:30-7:30 p.m.) at the Leisure Center.
